Q2 and Beyond Fundraising

We've been a bit slow with our July vacation, but we are back and ready to roll.

For the year through July 1st, First Book-Seattle raised $9,904.50 and distributed $1,235 of our Q4 2011 fundraising to kids.  That's already 494 books!

Since then we've cleared the $10,000 fundraising mark for 2012!

Looks like we can distribute 4300 new books in our grant cycle this fall.

Income: $5,915.52

• Foundation Grants: $2000.00
• Corporate Gifts: $600.00
• Corporate Matching Gifts: $360.52

Across individual donations, corporate gifts, and corporate matching we estimate $4557.52 was raised through our direct mail campaign.

We ended Q1 2012 with $7,262.52 available for grants to local recipient groups!

That is enough for 2904 books and giving 6 books to each of 484 kids.

We are look forward to our May "What was Your First Book" event and distributing our first set of grants in Q2!
